It was originally believed that the word "idaho" was
a Native American word meaning "gem of the mountains."
This was later proved false and the word was actually made up
by a local mining lobbyist. Idaho's capital city is Boise. Idaho's

Idaho has a population of about 1,300,000 and achieved statehood
in 1890. Idaho homes sell on average for $120,000.
